David Barrett


David Barrett is the architect of the Deal Engineering concept. A lawyer by training, David has over 25 years experience in IT, communications and sourcing and the industries that support them. David is an acknowledged expert in outsourcing and has both worked and lectured in the area all over Europe, North America and in the Far East. David has worked with governments, major corporations and the third sector on sourcing strategy, deal engineering, leading particular initiatives and putting together business propositions.



Mary Long

Mary is the General Manager and chief mentor of MAANA*,  besides being a senior member of the MAANA* management team she runs MAANA* strategy, mentoring and leadership development programmes relating to the sourcing and partnering space. Mary has a lifetime's experience in technology and business services in a leadership role and has in recent years been heavily involved in sourcing executive education.



Colin Muid


Colin Muid


Colin is a former senior civil servant and one of the originators of e-government. He was also managing director of Kermon, the independent procurement consultancy. Colin's consulting and management experience includes Gateway Reviews, programme and project management, change management, procurement, service delivery and policy development. Deal-making and dispute resolution are key strengths.





Michael Walsh


Michael has a substantial track record of achievement in strategy and organisational development, especially that involving the application of commercial and contractual disciplines to public service in both central and local government. He is very experienced in sourcing and procurement, including the design, evaluation, commercial negotiation and management of large public sector bids – on behalf of both public sector clients, and private sector companies bidding into the public sector. He has been appointed as a Senior Adviser on the OGC External Resources Framework.
Michael formerly held senior management roles in both public and private sector organisations, including Sema Group, PA Consulting Group, and the Crown Agents. He has been a consultant specialising in the UK public sector for more than 20 years. He also has a part-time diplomatic appointment, as Honorary Consul at London for the Republic of Kiribati.




Alan Bender


Alan’s consulting experience covers utilities, information technology, retail, financial services and defence industries as well as the public sector. His experience and skill set includes commercial and financial disciplines, strategic procurement and sourcing within complex environments. He has excellent negotiating, organisation and inter-personal skills that are backed by an open, communicative style with a strong ability in managing people.

Alan has had a successful record as a Senior Executive and Board Member, and now as a consultant. He has three times been part of very small start up teams that developed into multi-million pound businesses.



Tony Blaiklock


Tony has worked in the ICT industry since 1974 and as a consultant since 1988. He has worked in many sectors and markets, most recently on procurement and project reviews in the public sector.
Prior to becoming a MAANA associate, Tony was the Government Sector Commercial Director for a large IS/ICT service provider and has previously held a number of senior internal management roles in both consulting and service organisations, with responsibilities ranging from quality and resource management to delivery of government consulting assignments.



Jane Chittenden


Jane is a communications and business change specialist. Her background is in commercial communications, design and publishing. She has more than fifteen years’ experience as a consultant developing and delivering effective communications, primarily in the public sector, to facilitate business change and to support new ways of working. Her recent clients include the Prison Service, Cabinet Office, Department for Work and Pensions, Office of Government Commerce and Capgemini.

 





Geoff Chivers


Geoff is a highly skilled procurement and commercial manager. He has extensive experience of operating within the private, public and EU regulated sectors; from central government departments to blue chip companies in the Finance, IT Service, Utilities and Telecommunications sectors.
His skills are in the specification and procurement of outsourced solutions to meet strategic business objectives (such as cost savings or the development of new services) drawing on his broad technical and project management experience in the design and delivery of complex business systems.





Alison Gardner


Alison Gardner has more than 25 years of management and consulting experience. She has led and facilitated organisational change in an extensive range of circumstances, specialising in cultural and behavioural change where collaborative working and a shared agenda is paramount. She is also frequently invited to undertake workshop facilitation, event design and delivery, and facilitated management and personal development training. As well as central government, she has experience of the health and education sectors.



Bernard Gudgin


Bernard has skills in general management, Gateway ReviewsTM and Healthchecks, Facilitation and Mentoring, strategy formulation, change management, managing major programmes and projects. Bernard is accredited as an OGC Gateway Reviewer, as a High Risk Team Leader.
He has over 20 years’ experience at senior levels in the private, public and not for profit sectors including Board level posts, and as both CIO and Group IT Director.






Ray Hinchcliffe


Ray is an expert in the management of public sector programmes and projects, with over 30 years of public sector experience, principally in the former Department for Education and Skills, where he was a member of the Senior Civil Service. He has also been a successful IT Director and change manager. In recent years he has specialised in undertaking reviews of projects, programmes and public sector reform portfolios, especially as a Team Leader for OGC Gateway reviews of High Risk Projects.







Bernard Kinchin


Bernard is a business, programme and project manager with an unusually wide experience of ‘soft’ as well as ‘hard’ projects and programmes. His experience is principally in the public sector (with specialisms in transport and aviation) but he also has experience in the financial services and construction sectors. Bernard is accredited as an OGC Gateway Reviewer, as a High Risk Team Leader.
Bernard was previously a senior manager at PA Consulting Group, and is currently Managing Director of Icon Consulting Ltd.






Graham Law

Graham specialises in commercial and contractual processes in business, business planning and budgeting; change management and improvement; and management of programmes and projects. He has experience in both the public and private sectors. Graham is accredited as an OGC Gateway Reviewer, as a High Risk Team Leader

 



Keeley Nugent

Keely is a business change coach, with over 20 years' business experience, who works across organisations helping them to achieve change, which has a positive bottom-line impact.

Working inside an organisation from inception through to successful delivery she does this by:

Roy Suffield


Roy is an experienced programme and project manager, with extensive procurement and business change experience in central government. Roy was an Senior Civil Service IT Director in DTI, a Programme Director in the Home Office, and Gateway Director in OGC. Roy is accredited as an OGC Gateway Reviewer, as a High Risk Team Leader.
